I’m the profeshunl newbie

i'm the profeshunl newbHi, anonymous visitor!

I have no idea how you found this place, but I’m kinda glad you did. On this site I intend to post things, stuff and arbitrary crap I find amusing or related to my work as a developer and designer. I do a lot of online things for a living and have done so for what feels like a long, long time. The sheer amount of time spent on developing and creating, I assume, would label me as a professional, alongside the copious amount of satisfied clients. Copious, I say! Funny thing is, I never feel as if I fully know what I’m doing even though I get things done. In many ways, I still consider me a newbie. Hence the name profeshunl newbie. And please, don’t post a snarky comment telling me how I misspelled “professional”. Or “newbie”. Yes, that would be the joke.

Anyhoo, if you like graphic design, developing with PHP, MySQL, jQuery, Flash and other goodies on a neat LAMP stack, I’d like to say that you’ve come to the right place.

Moving on, I hope you find something to read here and tell your friends about it. If not, that’s cool. I mean, I’ll put you on my list, block your IP and haunt you in your sleep, but other than that – we’re cool.

Oh, and the awesome pictures of Zack Galifianakis and Bradley Cooper on the index page are © Frank Masi. Relevance of the photos? None. If you haven’t seen the movie The Hangover yet, you’re no friend of mine.

  • What is this?

My name is William and I'm a 30 year old developer/designer from Stockholm, Sweden. I have a love/hate relationship with PHP, I'm slightly aroused by jQuery and if I had the Adobe Flash IDE as a friend on Facebook, I'd label it as "it's complicated". This is my twelfth year as a freelance monkey. I prefer the term mercenary, but someone said it had a negative ring to it. Whatever. Oh, and I'm a Mac guy who loves his BacBook Pro in a somewhat unhealthy way.

The font used for headings is Geometry Soft Pro as found on dafont.com.
